about to leave my house this morning and i just had a couple thoughts.

God is gracious. basic right? not really. I heard it said once that God’s capacity to forgive far exceeds our capacity to sin. woah. i dont know about you, my capacity to sin is pretty huge. now add humanity’s capacity to sin together. Gods forgiveness still exceeds that.

God is our forerunner. recently I’ve learned this the hard way. My wife and I just moved to a new city a few months back and as you could imagine, finances have been UP and down. At times I’ll sit and do the math of it in my head and each time I arrive at the same conclusion…. there is no real or good reason that we have every bill paid up to date with excess money in the bank. The Lord laid this on my heart, he said something to the extent of… “Why do you fear tomorrow? I am already there. I have gone before you and illuminated the path. I have been in your “tomorrows” and “next months” and “next years” forever and I have already made provision to get you through them.” The Lord goes before us and prepares our future. Like a friend going into a room before us then calling us in to see whats inside. God goes before us and beckons us to watch and see what He has waiting for us.

just think about that. for those of us that call Jesus Christ our savior and king…He has us taken care of. that doesnt mean we dont have to do our part, but it does mean that He has good intentions for us and as long as we keep our focus on Him, we are ok.

I’m heading out now… but I thought I’d write this to encourage the saints today.
